Frequently Asked Questions

If you are coming for one of our shows, then a reservation is always recommended. Many of our shows fill up (sometimes weeks in advance). So the only way to make sure you can see the show is to make a reservation. Reservations can be made online by clicking the Reservations link

Note: "Reservation Time" is not the same as "Show Time" ... So if you are planning to attend an 8pm show, then your reservation would be bewtween 7:15-7:45.

If you aren't interested in the shows, and just want to come for dinner or drinks...then you do not necessarily need a reservation. We have plenty of space for walk-ins during non-show times.

The more the Mary-er! We can accommodate parties of all sizes and all celebrations. You can make a reservation for up to 10 people online. For larger parties, please email us (chicago@hamburgermarys.com). Please do not make multiple reservations, as we may not be able to seat you together. A credit card is required for parties of 6 or more. We reserve the right to charge $10 per person for no-shows or late cancellations. So please update your party size at least 24 hours in advance.

Well, sorta… It is not our policy to "split" checks by individual guest/items. However, we can take multiple forms of payment (ex: "Put $30 on this CC, and the rest in cash" or "Split evenly between these three credit cards"). For large parties that take up multiple tables, we can split the check by table.

Yes! There is a parking lot available for guests directly behind our building (off Winthrop Ave). Spaces are limited, and are not reservable. If you do park in the lot, don't plan on drinking! Hamburger Mary's does not take responsibility for vehicles or belongings left in the parking lot. Vehicles left overnight may be towed by the property management.

As a restaurant, we are open to guests of all ages. While there is no specific age requirement for most shows at Hamburger Mary's, keep in mind that drag shows may not be appropriate for toddlers and small children. We try to keep things PG-13, but parental discretion is advised (We aren't here to tell you how to raise your kids).

As a general rule, our Saturday Brunch shows are the most "PG" while the Friday/Saturday night shows are not appropriate for children.

Each show is a little different, but you can expect to spend 1.5-2 hours with us.

A good attitude, an open mind, a few dad jokes… and lotsa $1 bills for tipping the entertainers! We do have an ATM on site, and a limited supply of singles to make change if you need it.

Sure thing! But there are some rules:

• No balloons, as this obstructs the view for other guests.

• No glitter or confetti. Mary has a hard enough job keeping the place clean without having to pick up glitter and confetti. We reserve the right to charge a $50 clean-up fee for excessive messes.

• No noise-makers, whistles, etc.

You betcha! We allow cakes and cupcakes for birthdays, etc. No messy desserts, ice cream cakes, etc. There may be a nominal charge for use of our plates/utensils.
